Job Description

Resideo is currently seeking a CAD Librarian/Documentation Engineer to design security intrusion system and smart home's wireless products libraries and documents. You should have experience on: create, manage, and maintain electronic component libraries (schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models) in CAD tools like Altium or Mentor.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Library Creation & Maintenance: Build and verify schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D STEP models in CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Xpedition, Mentor).
  • Data Accuracy & Validation: Review components against manufacturer datasheets, mechanical drawings, and IPC standards (Class 2/3) to ensure quality.
  • Library Management & Control: Maintain centralized libraries, implementing strict naming conventions, revision control, and lifecycle management (active/obsolete).
  • Collaboration: Work with hardware/mechanical engineers to resolve design issues and provide custom library parts.
  • Process Improvement: Develop scripts (e.g., Python, tool-specific scripts) for automation and standardize workflows.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records for library parts, including parametric data. Generate schematic drawing and assembly drawing for PDM system.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Associate degree in Engineering or other technical discipline
  • 2 years of experience in Computer-aided Design (CAD) or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) Design.
  • 2 years of experience working with Mentor Expedition tool

WE VALUE:

  • Deep understanding of PCB design principles, IPC standards (e.g., IPC-7351), and electronic component packaging.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer, Mentor Expedition, Cadence Allegro, or similar tools.
  • Experience on eCAD library (generating symbols, footprints, and parameters)
  • High precision in verifying datasheets and physical dimensions.
  • Fluent English in reading and writing; Capable of taking conf meeting in English is preferred.
  • Good communication and cooperation skills.
  • PCB Layout experience is a plus.
