Job Summary

  • The Junior Buyer Acquisition Executive will play a key role in driving the growth of HAL's buyer ecosystem by identifying, onboarding, and activating SME buyers across the UAE. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role offers exposure to commercial strategy, marketplace growth initiatives, customer acquisition, and the operational dynamics of a high-growth digital marketplace. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, engaging prospective customers, managing onboarding activities, and ensuring buyers successfully transact on the HAL platform. Buyer Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify and acquire SME buyers across targeted industry segments in the UAE.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers through field prospecting, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct cold calls, customer visits, product demonstrations, and onboarding presentations.
  • Clearly communicate HAL's value proposition to business owners, procurement managers, and decision-makers.
  • Support buyers through registration, verification, documentation, and KYC requirements.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and assist customers in completing their marketplace profiles.

Customer Activation

  • Drive activation of newly onboarded buyers and support them through their first transaction.
  • Follow up regularly with buyers to encourage marketplace usage and repeat purchasing.
  • Educate customers on platform features including product sourcing, RFQs, quotations, ordering, and payment processes.
  • Support buyer-seller matchmaking initiatives to facilitate successful transactions.
  • Monitor buyer engagement and proactively re-engage inactive customers.

Commercial Strategy Support

  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer in executing marketplace growth initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing buyer acquisition campaigns across priority sectors.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market opportunities.
  • Track buyer acquisition performance and prepare commercial reports and presentations for management review.
  • Gather customer feedback to support continuous improvement of the marketplace proposition.

Marketplace Growth Projects

  • Contribute to projects relating to category expansion, customer engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Support marketplace activation campaigns aimed at increasing GMV and transaction volumes.
  • Work closely with Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success teams to improve buyer experience.
  • Assist in analyzing buyer behavior, marketplace adoption, and transaction trends to improve acquisition effectiveness.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving customer lifetime value and customer retention.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SME customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding process.
  • Resolve customer issues by coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to internal teams.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, meetings, and customer interactions within CRM systems.
  • Track and report buyer acquisition and activation metrics.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly pipeline reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and documentation standards.
  • Support management reporting and commercial planning activities.

  • Number of SME buyers onboarded monthly.
  • Number of active buyers generated.
  • First-order conversion rate.
  • Buyer activation rate.
  • Monthly active buyers.

Qualifications

Key Experiences

  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer acquisition, account management, e-commerce, fintech, logistics, banking, or marketplace businesses.
  • Fresh graduates with strong commercial aptitude and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience dealing with SMEs or business customers will be an advantage.

Certifications / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain,

Finance, or a related field.

Languages

  • English, Hindi and Malyalam (will be a plus)
