Could you be the full-time Junior Buyer in Boksburg we’re looking for? This is a temporary position.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and administrative expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll work alongside supportive and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Buyers, Supply Chain, Finance, and Project teams), provide administrative support for procurement activities, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
You’ll specifically take care of purchase order administration and supplier follow-up, but also assist with RFQ preparation and procurement reporting.
We’ll look to you for:
Supporting Buyers with purchase requisition and purchase order administration
Maintaining procurement records, supplier information, and supporting documentation
Assisting with RFQ preparation, quotation follow-up, and price comparisons
Following up on order acknowledgements, delivery updates, and invoice queries
Ensuring procurement administration aligns with Alstom’s processes and ethical standards
Providing administrative assistance during tender, sourcing, and contract preparation activities

Diploma or degree in Supply Chain or Procurement
Experience in sourcing (about 2 years)
Understanding of contract management and legal awareness
Exposure to ERP systems and intermediate MS Office skills
Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier communication
Ability to work in a matrix environment and demonstrate a results-oriented mindset
Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and a team spirit
