The Junior Buyer assists in purchasing materials, supplies, and services for the organization at the most favorable terms. This role supports the procurement team by helping qualify vendors, evaluate bids, track purchases, and maintain accurate supplier information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in purchasing materials, supplies, and services in alignment with company needs
• Support vendor qualification and onboarding processes
• Help evaluate bids and compare pricing, quality, and terms
• Assist in negotiating prices and delivery terms under supervision
• Track purchase orders and monitor delivery status
• Maintain and update vendor database and documentation
• Monitor vendor performance and report quality issues
• Support procurement projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 0–2 years of related experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain concepts is a plus
• Ability to work in a structured, closely supervised environment
Level: Works on tasks of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed and reviewed.
