Purpose

The Junior Buyer plays a key role in supporting the purchasing function at Securitas Technology Ireland, placing purchase orders, maintaining availability systems, communicating with suppliers to meet on-time business needs.

What you’ll be doing

·Creating purchase orders and expediting with suppliers to ensure timely receipt and smooth invoice matching

·Maintaining supplier and purchasing planning records for lead time availability and price

·Support stores and purchasing functions as required to meet operational needs

·Communicating with internal customers regarding delivery schedules and material availability to ensure service performance targets are achieved

·Complete day-to-day administrative tasks to support supply chain and purchasing activities

Experience & Knowledge

·Previous experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

·Good working knowledge of stock control and purchasing

·Experience in purchasing and administrative roles

·Level 7 or Level 8 IIPMM Or APICS, or similar professional college education with a strong emphasis on purchasing

·Proven ability to work on own initiative, in a fast-paced, operational environment
