Job Description

Job Location Woodland, WA 98674 Salary Range $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Located in Woodland, WA, LifePort is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. From large multi-aircraft projects to small custom projects, LifePort supplies the industry’s largest aerospace OEMs and end users with the finest aviation solutions today.

Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist a commodity buyer with procurement of a commodity
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm on time delivery, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company
  • Assist a commodity buyer with the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed
  • Assist in the negotiating of lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs
  • Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to ensure accurate retention of records
  • Review various reports such as Late to Required, Exceptions and Shortage Report and updating PO’s accordingly
  • Entering PO’s into the ERP system
  • Submitting RFQ’s to suppliers
  • Assisting in analyzing RFQ’s to determine the appropriate vendors
  • Assist AP with invoice issues
  • Assist in following up Supplier Deviation Requests and Tech Helps submitted by suppliers
  • Assisting in notifying suppliers of nonconformance parts and securing lead time for reworked or replacement parts
  • Special projects as needed



Qualifications

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems preferred
  • Education, Certifications and

    Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AA/AS degree preferred
  • 0–2+ years’ experience in a purchasing or administrative type role

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
