Working with business development at Sectra Communications means operating at the intersection of technology, strategy, and trust. It also means meeting customers in their own environments, which can range from an afternoon in a secure bunker or meeting room to a day on a military vessel. This is not traditional sales - we build long-term relationships with highly specialized customers who place extreme demands on security and performance.

The Role

As a Business Developer, you will join our sales team and work with sales of cryptographic products and services to Swedish authorities. You will operate with a high degree of ownership and freedom in how you drive your work – focusing on high-impact solutions that truly make a difference for national and societal security.

You will:

  • Act as an ambassador for Sectra’s products and represent us in high-level customer dialogues
  • Identify, develop, and drive business opportunities with both new and existing customers
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships within the public sector
  • Present and explain advanced technical solutions in a clear and compelling way
  • Participate in exhibitions and industry events across Europe
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and engineering teams to stay at the forefront of the technology
  • Capture customer needs and translate them into product and business insights

The role involves travel, primarily within Sweden but also regularly across Europe.

At Sectra, we value attitude and ability to learn and take on new tasks quickly. An analytical mindset is essential to understand, break down, and solve complex problems. We also believe you are a strong communicator, with the ability to interact with colleagues, partners, and customers in an effective, clear, and constructive way.

In addition to these qualities, we would like you to:

  • Hold a Master of Science in Engineering with strong academic results
  • Be fluent in both Swedish and English
  • Be highly motivated and goal-oriented, and eager to take ownership of your work
  • Have strong time management and organizational skills
  • Be able to create and deliver presentations tailored to the needs of different audiences
  • Have strong relationship-building skills and be open to feedback

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles
  • Military service or completed conscription
