About the Opportunity
We're seeking a curious and motivated Junior Automation Analyst to join our Mainframe & Enterprise Applications team and support the technology platforms that help deliver essential services to millions of Victorians. In this role, you'll contribute to the operation and improvement of customer-facing systems while gaining valuable exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), customer contact centre technologies, and enterprise applications.
Reporting to the Technical Product Owner, you will provide day-to-day operational support across a range of customer contact and service centre platforms, including Amazon Connect, QMS, Linkly and Verint, while managing incidents, service requests and system changes in line with ITIL processes and service level expectations. You'll also be responsible for incident investigation and resolution, system configuration, and platform lifecycle management, while supporting the design, development and delivery of automation solutions using RPA tools such as UiPath.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in automation, technology operations, and digital service delivery within a large and complex environment.
About you
You are a technically minded and curious individual with a passion for technology, automation, and solving problems. Whether you've developed your skills through study, internships, placements, projects, or early-career experience, you're eager to apply your knowledge in a hands-on role and continue growing your technical capabilities.
Applicants must be Australian citizens, as this role requires the successful candidate to obtain a Baseline security clearance upon commencement.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
A foundational understanding of customer contact centre or customer service centre technologies, gained through study, internships, or practical experience.
Exposure to platforms such as Amazon Connect, Verint, QMS, Linkly, or similar technologies, or a strong willingness to learn.
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts or tools such as UiPath, with an interest in developing hands-on automation skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to follow documented processes and identify solutions to technical issues.
An understanding of IT support practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
Desirable:
Familiarity with Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
A basic understanding of information security, access management, and data protection principles.
