Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to Audit Officer and Senior Audit Officer in setting up policies and drawing out different responsibilities of the Revenue Audit & Cash Management section of Dubai Metro & Tram.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit, track and ensure the revenue generated from stations are properly accounted, reconciled and deposited in bank nominated by RTA.
  • Assist audit officers in daily cash reconciliation in all stations.
  • Reconciliation of Manual Revenue reports, System Reports and CCC reports
  • Reconcile reports between AFC Level 1 and AFC Level 3.
  • Ensure established refund process is being followed & investigate any irregularities getting highlighted in the reports or via the Surplus and Loss.
  • Generation and collation of revenue reports from all stations and publish different reports periodically.
  • Perform daily cross check the reports from stations and car parks and will do physical count as well at stations and car parks if it requires.
  • Assist audit officer in stock management and inventory control; storage of stock and deployment of stock at the stations & car parks will be done on the basis of stock reports.
  • Assist audit officers in audit and ensure that the cash floats are intact in all the stations and review the requirements periodically.
  • Assist audit officers in the management of revenue forms and reports for new stations, including updating and changing them regularly as per the RTA guidelines.
  • Junior Audit Officer will be responsible of Operational level of Audit and will do Monthly audits.
  • Junior Audit Officer will remain out and about on the stations and perform physical checks as well.
  • Assist senior audit officer in performing the tasks assigned by Manager Audit & Cash Management.
  • Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the Audit Officers and Senior Audit Officer.

  • A mature, proactive and responsible approach to work with initiative and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organisation.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of station operations and associated activities.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills required for the role.
  • Ability to understand complex systems and possess good IT skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in an efficient and flexible manner in unsupervised circumstances.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 year, preferably 1 years of work experience in the related field.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFCATIONS

  • Ideally a degree holder in Accounts/Finance/Commerce.
