ABOUT THE ROLE

As an AI Automation Engineer in Leadtech’s Applied AI Lab, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting powerful AI agents and LLMs to real-world workflows using low-code orchestration tools like n8n, V0, Claude Agent Teams, and Claude Cowork, LangChain, along with scripting and backend APIs. You’ll design automations that integrate foundational AI models, APIs, databases, and user-facing systems, enabling fast, scalable, and maintainable deployment of intelligent workflows.

• AI Workflow Automation: Build, maintain, and extend end-to-end automation pipelines using n8n, or, Google Workspace Studio LangChain, Claude Cowork, Claude Skills, Gemini Gems
• Agent Orchestration & AI Integration: Automate tasks across systems such as vector DBs (Pinecone, Weaviate), OpenAI/Gemini APIs, Google Workspace Studio (in Alpha), Notion, Slack, Google Chat, email, storage, and webhooks, Agent Orchestration & AI Integration, Design and deploy multi-step processes involving LLMs (e.g., GPT-5, Claude, Gemini) via prompt chains, tool calling, and function execution
• Event-Driven Architecture: set up listeners and webhooks to automate tasks based on events (e.g., user uploads, external service updates, or model outputs). Route user inputs, analyze outputs, and trigger relevant services through low-latency pipelines
• Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: Ship AI-powered automations fast to support internal users, marketing, content ops, HR, Legal, Finance, and more
• Collaborate on the integration with our n8n-based workflow automation engine, helping to connect our backend with the AI agents that power our analyses
• Collaborate closely with product managers and AI Training specialists to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable features.
• API & Service Integration: Build and maintain backend infrastructure to support agent and model endpoints via FastAPI or Express
• Collaborate with the team on application deployment and help maintain our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Automation Engineer who is passionate about building modern, data-driven applications.

• n8n Mastery: Able to build custom workflows and custom nodes
• Comfortable using it with webhook triggers, data parsing, retries, error handlers, and LLM toolchains
• Understands how to secure, scale, and monitor n8n in production
• Claude Cowork
• LangChain: previous hands on experience
• LangFlow: awareness of its features and pros and cons
• Cursor: building quick workflows in cursor
• Programming & scripting: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Bash, and workflow scripting (e.g., YAML-based pipelines)
• Familiar with FastAPI, Node.js, and database integration (Pinecone, PostgreSQL, Redis, BigQuery)
• Problem-Solving Mindset: You are a collaborative problem-solver, eager to take on new challenges and contribute to a fast-paced development cycle.
• Passion for AI: A genuine passion and awareness for artificial intelligence and a strong desire to build products that leverage its capabilities to solve real-world problems.
• Creativity and Proactivity: You have a passion for building great products, are eager to propose new features, and enjoy finding creative solutions to improve the user experience.

• Project Experience: Previous experience working on projects involving AI, or interacting with large language models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
