As a Junior Accounting Supervisor in our Financial Control team, you’ll help manage the financial records of our Dutch entities. Your focus will be on areas like VAT, statutory accounts, and reporting. You will play an important role in making sure financial information is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

You will work in an international environment and collaborate with colleagues across different countries.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will support the Financial Control team with a variety of accounting and reporting tasks. You’ll help prepare financial statements and make sure they follow accounting rules such as IFRS and Dutch GAAP. You’ll also assist with VAT filings, income tax calculations, and reporting to external parties like auditors and Statistics Netherlands. Over time, you’ll gain exposure to different entities, including some smaller international companies. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow your accounting skills in a global setting.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare statutory accounts and support audits
• Review and approve most of the reporting to the Statistics Netherlands
• Review and approve the monthly and quarterly VAT declarations.
• Support the tax department in reviewing the income tax calculations and be able to explain them to the internal global tax team and external tax consultants
• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT declarations
• Support income tax calculations and related tasks
• Help maintain accounting records (ledgers) for different companies
• Assist with accounting tasks for international entities
• Handle general accounting and administrative tasks
• Help organize and follow up on tax-related documentation

Qualifications

• HEAO BE/BA or SPD degree with experience in accounting with NL VAT.
• Between 0 - 4 years of work experience
• Sound practical knowledge of IFRS and applicable Dutch GAAP.
• Experience with Tax (VAT and Income tax).
• Experience within a multinational environment.
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills, particularly in Oracle ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and be well organized.
