Job Description

We are looking for a bright and energetic person to join our fast-paced accounting team on a full-time basis.

The Junior Accounting Clerk will assist in the day-to-day functions and duties in the Finance department. This position will contribute to the overall accomplishment and development of accounting practices and objectives. Reports to Accounting team Supervisor.

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm)

This role is permanently onsite in Toronto at 255 Consumers Road, Suite 400, Toronto, ON M2J 1R4.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank transactions and General Ledger accounts
• Post vendor invoices and generate e-transfer and cheques etc.
• Process credit card transactions
• Handle queries from Collection department
• Support month end and year end closing
• Reconcile vendor sub-ledger statements
• Reconcile Ministry of Finance reports
• Reconcile daily posting and deposit of consumers’ payment

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Excel, Sage, scheduling tools, and UKG (preferred)
• Required experience in Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
• Demonstrated relevant financial experience
• Strong verbal and business writing skills
• Solid technology and analytic abilities
• Asset: Experience with trust accounts
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure

Compensation and Perks:

• Between $41,000 to $43,000/year based on experience
