About the Role:

The Accounting Assistant supports the financial and administrative processes in the Colombia office. This role assists in preparing accounting entries,
financial reports, payroll processing, treasury operations, fixed asset management, and office administration.

What You'll Do:

  • Support accounting entries, month-end closing, and financial reporting
  • Assist with payroll processing, validations, and social security reporting
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support treasury/payment processes
  • Manage vendor invoices, purchase orders, and accounting records
  • Support fixed asset control and inventory processes
  • Assist with audits, compliance activities, and internal controls
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the office

Internal Operations

  • Comply with business requirements including timesheets, project codes, and required training
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
  • Collaborate with Shared Services teams to support business objectives
  • Provide operational support to technical teams as needed

Minimum (Required) Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience

  • English proficiency B1–B2

  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing financial statements

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Payroll processing experience using UKG / Ultimate Software

  • Experience with CONTAI Accounting Software

  • Experience with DELTEK Vantagepoint ERP (non-essential)

  • Prior experience supporting audits

  • Experience with electronic invoicing and local tax compliance (DIAN)

  • Knowledge of Colombian payroll regulations and social security contributions

  • Experience with treasury operations, bank reconciliations, and foreign currency management
