Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Accountant / Accounting Analyst to join an exciting new prepaid card program launching in Panama.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in the financial services or payments industry who want to play an active role in establishing the accounting processes and financial operations of a new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions and ensure accurate financial postings.

• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Support treasury operations and daily cash management activities.

• Assist in designing and implementing accounting processes for the new operation.

• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure the confidentiality of financial information.

• Work closely with the Finance Lead to establish accounting procedures and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, treasury, and reconciliations.

• Previous experience in banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, or payment processors in Panama is highly preferred.

• Solid knowledge of accounting entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

• Based in Panama City

• Available to work 100% on-site
