ROLE AND LOCATION

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. It's a full-time position in our Porto/Mortágua office.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting document organization and perform all payment and invoicing tasks.

OF TASKS

• Organize and maintain accounting documentation, including scanning, archiving (physical and digital), and structuring accounting files.
• Receive, verify, and distribute incoming documentation from external sources.
• Prepare and process payments.
• Record accounting transactions in the accounting system (e.g., purchase orders, payment orders, invoices, receipts, credit notes).
• Prepare and submit mandatory tax declarations in compliance with regulations.
• Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling cash flow movements.
• Issue invoices and other sales-related documents.
• Contribute to the preparation and coordination of internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and, when required by management, support colleagues across similar functions within the Group.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum education: High school diploma (12th grade)
• Degree in Management or a related field (plus)
• Eligibility for a professional internship program (IEFP) it's nor required but will be a plus;
• English proficiency (minimum B1);
• Computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases.
