Job Description

Job brief

We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial records aligned with our companys objectives. If you have a strong interest in accounting and a desire to grow your skills, wed like to talk to you.

Responsibilities

    1. Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
    2. Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation.
    3. Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices.
    4. Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
    5. Following up with clients for receivables via email, phone and visiting the clients if
    required, and escalating internally wherever necessary, and update status of the
    receivables on the Cash flow statement.
    6. Receipts recording once a payment has been received from a client depending on the
    mode of receipt.
    7. Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
    8. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
    9. Assist in preparing balance sheet, income statements and other financial statements
    according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
    10. Help with audits by providing required documentation.
    11. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
    12. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
    13. Processes payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee
    reimbursements, and statements.
    14. Continuous management and support for petty cash payments, receipts and
    replenishments that includes the data entry on the accounting software.
    15. Coordinate with Senior Accountant and Finance Manager to ensure compliance with
    relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
    16. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and
    procedures in receiving and documenting different modes of payment.
    17. Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.

Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
