Role Details

• Location: Established and new projects across Australia’s East Coast
• Roster: Family friendly, even-time rosters available
• Brand-new Sandvik fleets on site – DD421, DD422i

About the Role

Macmahon Underground is growing and expanding its footprint across Australia's East Coast, creating exciting opportunities for experienced Jumbo Operators to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Sandvik jumbo drill rig in a safe and efficient manner
• Read and understand development designs and operational memos to guide work activities
• Carry out underground development activities, including boring and installation of ground support
• Installation various types of ground support, including split sets, resin bolts and mesh
• Contribute to all stages of the mining cycle, maintaining productivity and minimising downtime
• Provide clear and effective communication 
• Contribute to our people-first culture and live our Winning Values
• Help teammates, share knowledge and support a strong crew culture

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating the jumbo drill rigs
• Strong safety focus and ability to speak up
• A team mindset and reliable work ethic
• Commitment to contributing to a positive culture
• Valid manual (C class) Australian drivers licence (essential)
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (highly desired)
• First Aid Certificate (highly desired)
