Job Description

Representing a leader in the industry, we are looking for an entry-level (1-2 years' experience) Junior Account to join their team in their Hicksville location.

The Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to the Finance team. This includes preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and performing other accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
  • Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
  • Performing other accounting tasks, such as journalizing transactions, entering data into the accounting system, and preparing reports
  • Communicating with clients and vendors regarding financial matters
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a financial accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Specifically EXCEL
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
