About the Job
As a
Jr. QC Manual Engineer
at Aspire, you will support a live production Hiring Events platform that handles a high volume of client requests and active hiring workflows. You will play a key role in troubleshooting production issues, validating integrations, and ensuring platform reliability and user satisfaction through effective testing and issue resolution.
What You’ll Do

Analyze and troubleshoot production issues impacting live hiring events.

Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for hiring event workflows.

Validate APIs and integrations using Postman.
-
Reproduce, document, and track defects using Jira.
-
Collaborate with Client Support, GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve client issues.
-
Monitor production systems and support incident triage and validation activities.
-
Validate backend data using SQL and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.
-
Support testing for architecture changes, integrations, and new platform releases.
-
Investigate frontend and network-related issues using browser developer tools.
-
Ensure timely issue resolution while meeting SLA expectations.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint testing, and release validation processes.

Contribute to continuous improvements in testing quality, workflows, and platform stability.
What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

2+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or production support environments.

Strong experience with manual testing and end-to-end workflow validation.
-
Experience with regression testing and release validation activities.
-
Hands-on experience using Postman for API testing and response validation.
-
Experience testing REST APIs and validating backend integrations/services.
-
Strong SQL skills for backend data validation and troubleshooting.
-
Experience documenting defects, test results, and workflow issues using Jira.
-
Strong understanding of business workflows, product functionality, and user journeys.
-
Ability to design and execute effective test cases and validation scenarios.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional teams.
-
Good communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
-
Experience with WCAG standards and accessibility testing tools.

Ability to work across multiple U.S. time zones (PST, MST, CST, EST).

Experience using Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting.
-
Familiarity with Kafka and asynchronous workflow validation.
-
Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
-
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release validation.
-
Experience working with SaaS or customer-facing platforms.
-
Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar.
