Specific Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the production of prepared foods items, including executing menus and hot and cold food programs. Execute menu items and hot food programs while maintaining portioning, cooking, and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory and reduce store shrink by utilizing fresh and, or imperfect reuseable perishable items.
• Rotate and pull outdated products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Prep for and prepare Chef’s case items and reutilization recipes. Evaluate and fix the merchandising of the Chef’s case platters throughout shift.
• Follow production priorities as outlined by Deli Bakery leadership.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards by ensuring accurate product dating, rotation, temperature monitoring, and adherence to cleanliness protocols.
• Assist with all food preparation for catering orders.
• Contribute to organizational effectiveness by offering information and suggestions.
• Execute with operational integrity by anticipating problems, taking preventative measures, and adapting to changes that improve our operations or guest experience.
• Consistently follow Busch’s policies and procedures.
• Share our passion for our products by being familiar with our products and services and actively seeking and sharing that information.
• Represent Busch’s at company food events and assist with store food demonstrations as needed.
• Assist guests with counter service, product recommendations, special orders, and catering needs. Represent Busch’s at company food events and assist with store food demonstrations as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment where time-sensitive production and guest expectations may contribute to elevated levels of stress.
Education, Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 1 year cooking experience preferred.
• Food safety certification required or must obtain certification as scheduled and must adhere to and maintain all training required by Busch’s.
• Proficient culinary skills, including recipe execution, knife work, and food presentation.
• Proficient merchandising skills to ensure fresh and appealing products that follow Busch’s standards.
• Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
• Proficient computer skills to learn and use a variety of proprietary applications and technology.
