The Citymesh Platforms team is on the lookout for a Core Network Engineer to help strengthen our approach!

Your job in a nutshell

As part of our Core Network team, you’ll get hands-on exposure across a wide range of telecom technologies:

• Support and learn 4G EPC and 5G Core network functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, HSS, UDM, PCF).
• Explore IMS and VoLTE platforms powering voice and messaging.
• Understand roaming, interconnect, and subscriber management flows.
• Work with cloud-native, containerised telecom infrastructure running on AWS.
• Analyse signalling flows, logs, and packet captures.
• Participate in real incident handling and root cause investigations.
• Help support deployment of private networks for enterprise customers.
• Work with leading 3rd parties vendors/suppliers to deliver solutions.

Don’t worry: you won’t be expected to know all of this on day one. You’ll learn from experienced engineers while gaining hands-on exposure from the start. The combination of learning on the job and different courses will assure you gain broad telecom knowledge and a career foundation that could lead to Core Network Engineer, IMS Specialist, Roaming Expert or even 5G Architect.

We’re searching for curious, motivated graduates who thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. You’ll be learning technical skills on the job, but your attitude, creativity, and teamwork are just as important.

• You are a recent graduate in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field;
• Thanks to your curious and analytical mind-set, you want to understand how mobile networks work end-to-end.
• You have a basic understanding of IP networking (routing, DNS, IP addresses, ports).
• You’re eager to learn more about Linux / cloud environments.
• As a real team player you get energy from collaborating, communicating and sharing ideas.
• Even under pressure you’re able to stay calm and troubleshoot effectively when things go wrong.
• Your sense of humour and positive attitude is an added value in solving tough problems together.
• It’s a plus if you have any familiarity with 4G/LTE or 5G concepts or had some exposure to VoLTE, IMS, messaging, roaming, or OSS systems.
• Some experience with programming and scripting, can be helpful as well.
• You have a sincere interest in telecom innovation and start-up environments.
