Job Description

The Cook Jr at Camp Parks Dublin is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The Cook Jr will work as part of a team to ensure a positive dining experience for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, including proper storage of food items.
  • Assist in menu planning and inventory management, ensuring all supplies are ordered and stocked as needed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and address any dietary restrictions or special requests.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain equipment and kitchen tools in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
  • Stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
