Design and implement information technology systems and processes to support the business, engineering, manufacturing, procurement and financial activities of the business unit.

Job Responsibilities

    • Manage projects that support company and customer initiatives.
    • Interface with Engineering to ensure complete systems integration.
    • Install and terminate control and communications wiring following industry and organization standards. Knowledge of wiring and termination standards and techniques is required.
    • Maintain company SCADA system responsible for capturing process data
    • Support an installed base of Automation controls with emphasis on Rockwell Automation controllers, drives, and safety hardware
    • Assist during the design phase of new manufacturing processes to ensure that vendors are using GKN standard hardware options
    • Integration of automation hardware/sensors with SCADA system
    • Be an Individual contributor and drive continuous improvement as part of our team.
    • Perform other related duties as required
    • 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Must be able to use test and measurement equipment, read schematics and technical manuals, layout panels, and solder/unsolder components. Understand local area networks in a TCP/IP environment, computer operations and Personal Computer hardware and software management.

Education

The position requires BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent training/Experience.

Essential

    • MUST BE A U.S Citizen.
    • Must be a technical expert in area subject matter demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation and support of software applications and systems. Develops detailed functional system and programming specifications.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years in programming and systems analysis with proven prior experience in systems/ application process and workflow analysis, application/system analysis, programming, and experience working on project team(s).
    • Must possess skills and experience in oral and written communications, including analysis documentation, project management deliverables and documentation, application/systems specifications, project preparation, risk identification and escalation, and report presentation
