Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment with a focus on chillers, hydronic systems, boilers, cooling towers, and associated controls.
• Service and maintain rooftop units, make-up air systems, VRF systems, pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform startups, repairs, preventive maintenance, and assist with system optimization for commercial HVAC and chiller systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues in the field with support from senior technicians when needed.
• Work closely with senior technicians, project managers, and customers to ensure quality service and timely completion of work.
• Communicate with customers professionally and follow up to ensure complete satisfaction with service provided.
• Attend job site meetings and project-related discussions as needed while helping resolve technical or operational issues.
• Respond to emergency service calls when required and remain dependable in critical situations.
• Complete all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• 4–7 years of commercial HVAC service experience with experience supporting chillers, boilers, hydronic systems, and controls.
• Experience working on commercial cooling systems, RTUs, pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
• Experience with centrifugal, screw, scroll, or air-cooled/water-cooled chillers preferred.
• Stable work history with proven field experience.
• HVAC License
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Type II or Universal Refrigerant License required.
• Chiller and boiler manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Journeyman License is a plus.
• VRF experience is a plus.

Job Skills:

• Understanding of commercial chilled water and boiler systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Skilled with standard HVAC hand tools, meters, recovery machines, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with BAS/control systems is a plus.
• Ability to install, repair, and commission HVAC equipment.
• Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
