Your tasks

About the Role

This role is ideal for an early‑career automation engineer who wants to learn quickly, work with real biotech/pharma equipment, and grow into an independent project engineer. You’ll support senior engineers on system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and GMP documentation while gaining exposure to a wide range of platforms and technologies.

You’ll get hands‑on experience with both brownfield integrations and greenfield projects, and you’ll be part of a team that values curiosity, problem‑solving, and continuous learning.

What You’ll Do

  • Support design, implementation, and commissioning of automation and control systems.
  • Assist with integrating new equipment into existing manufacturing systems.
  • Help develop and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and DCS code under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Contribute to writing and executing commissioning and qualification documentation.
  • Participate in on‑site troubleshooting, system testing, and equipment startup activities.
  • Work with process and equipment engineers to understand system requirements and design intent.
  • Learn multiple automation platforms and contribute to internal standards and best practices.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 0–4 years of experience in automation/controls engineering (internships or co‑ops count).
  • Exposure to Rockwell Automation or other PLC/DCS platforms.
  • Strong desire and ability to learn new automation software and technologies quickly.
  • Understanding of basic process control concepts; familiarity with S88 is a plus.
  • GMP experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Interest in working hands‑on with equipment such as bioreactors, filtration skids, CIP/SIP systems, and utilities.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a client‑facing environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed and be on‑site in King of Prussia at least 3 days per week.
