Job Description
The Junior Account Reconciliation Specialist is an entry-level, developmental role within the Finance team. This position supports cash reconciliation, refund tracking, dispute documentation, and regulatory reporting while gaining hands-on experience in financial operations.
This role is designed to provide structured training and career growth toward a full Account Reconciliation Specialist position. The Junior Specialist also provides operational support and coverage for senior team members during peak workloads or absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with reconciling cash receivables activity across multiple systems and data sources.
- Support the research and resolution of discrepancies, inquiries, and refund-related items under guidance from senior team members.
- Enter, track, and update refund requests and reconciliation data in designated systems.
- Partner with the Senior Dispute Specialist to input, monitor, and track dispute-related refunds.
- Prepare, track, and submit required Form 8300 documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide coverage and operational support to Account Reconciliation Specialists during high-volume periods or team absences.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners to gather documentation and follow established processes.
- Assist in reconciling merchant deposits, fees, and payment activity to customer accounts.
- Utilize internal systems and spreadsheet tools to input and reconcile financial data.
- Participate in structured training and development to build reconciliation, analysis, and system proficiency.
- Support documentation of processes and assist with departmental projects as needed.
