Carrier Commercial Service is actively recruiting for a Journeyperson Technician to join the NorthEastern Ontario Region (Ottawa) Service Team to support the light and heavy applied HVAC service market segments.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain positive, professional customer relations.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to work with chillers, other HVAC and Refrigeration equipment to provide exceptional proactive maintenance and repair services.
Promote branch work order sales
Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems; Develop and implement solutions to prevent future occurrence
Confident identifying, estimating, and quoting repair and upgrade solutions to extend equipment life and save energy.
Comply and re-enforce Environment, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Gas Fitter 1 certificate
Certified Journeyperson- open to consideration for Apprentices
Minimum of 2 years of chiller maintenance and overhaul experience
Member of Union Local 787, or eligible to join
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of HVAC system design and building maintenance
Proficient with various software tools and laptop (MS Office, Outlook, Excel) and handheld devices (iPhone)
Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships and with a strong client service orientation
Team player with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments
Proven analytical and diagnostic skills
Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
