Journeyperson Instrumentation

Starting wage $60.82 as per local CBA

Where will you work: Onsite – Onsite Esterhazy K2, Saskatchewan

The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform the duties of a Journeyperson Instrumentation in an assigned area on an assigned shift.

What you’ll do?

  • Report to the Instrumentation Supervisor and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to safely maintain and repair all surface and/or underground instrumentation assets in an industrial environment, in accordance with established procedures and policies.

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose equipment failures, and develop effective, reliable, and timely repair plans.

  • Install, maintain, and repair measurement and control equipment, including but not limited to valves, analyzers, control systems, gauges, and transmitters.

  • Install, test, commission, and bring into service new instrumentation and control systems.

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurements for flow, level, pressure, density, vibration, temperature, and related parameters using Analog and HART protocols.

  • Install and support Wireless, Ethernet, and Fiber Optic communication systems; perform basic instrument configuration using DeltaV DCS and AMS software.

  • Test and diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing equipment, referencing manufacturers’ manuals to determine appropriate testing and maintenance procedures.

  • Utilize in-house computer systems to read and interpret PLC logic for troubleshooting and diagnostics.

  • Maintain basic computer proficiency and accurately communicate maintenance findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions verbally and in written reports.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and continuously build knowledge and skills through training and hands-on experience.

  • Play a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring personal safety and the safety of coworkers at all times.

  • Perform work in various environments, including field, shop, and underground settings, as required.

  • Be flexible to work shift schedules and/or weekends based on operational needs.

What you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • The successful applicant must hold an Instrumentation Journeyperson Interprovincial Red Seal Ticket.

  • Previous experience in an industrial environment using Maximo and SAP maintenance programs.

  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada

  • Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others

  • Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally

  • Able to climb stairs and work at various heights

  • Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials

  • Able to hear, with or without correction

  • Able to read, write and understand basic English

  • Able to see, with or without correction

  • Able to use fine hand motor skills

  • Able to wear a respirator

  • Able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required

  • Must be able to work a 12-hour shift

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
