Demolish, install,wire,troubleshoot,and commissionall types, sizes,and voltages ofsubstationequipmentin a safe,professional mannerAssignments may includeretrofits,partial or full rebuilds, andgreenfield installationsacrossPGE’sdistribution, transmission,andgenerationsubstationfacilities
The role requires personnel tobeoutdoors intheelements,workon the ground and at heights,andliftover 50 poundsThere may be opportunities to workextended hoursor weekends
Performswitchingand tagging.
Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA requirements
Support mentorship, safety conversations, and training.
Integrate witha constructioncrew andSUBOPSMeter-Relay, SCADA, and communication technicians.
Interact and communicatewithcustomers,thegeneralpublic, andotherPGE staff.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Those roleincludes an extendable 6-month probationary periodwith documented progress reports
Required Certifications:
CurrentJourneymanWireman card with evidence of completion ofa Wireman Apprenticeship
Possess andmaintaina CDLClass Adriver’slicensewith air brake and tankerendorsementMustpossessand maintain a valid driving medical card.
