Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Journeyman Welder/Fabricator in Portland, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality fabricated products. · Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of materials, including specialty alloys.
· Fabricate, fit, and assemble complex components from blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
· Weld and fabricate components using nickel alloys and other specialty metals while maintaining strict quality standards.
· Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
· Lay out, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.
· Inspect welds and fabricated components to verify compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
· Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, presses, ironworkers, and other shop machinery.
· Perform repairs, modifications, and custom fabrication projects as required.
· Accurately document production activities and completed work.
· Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
· Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
· Promptly report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.
· Journeyman Welder certification or equivalent combination of education and extensive fabrication experience.
· Experience welding and fabricating with specialty alloys is required; nickel alloy experience is highly preferred.
· Strong proficiency in TIG welding; MIG and Stick welding experience preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
· Experience fabricating structural and precision components to tight tolerances.
· Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
· Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication best practices.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
· Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
· Competitive hourly wage based on experience. $28-$45 DOE.
