Salary: $71,307 - $85,000
DCS is seeking an experienced Journeyman Developer to assist in developing Mission planning software to meet the needs of the F/A-18 and EA-18G communities. This position supports remote work local to the Patuxent River, MD area. A hybrid work schedule of 80% remote, 20% on site is anticipated.
Essential Job Functions:
Contribute to software development as part of a team using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This includes requirements analysis, software design and implementation, database analysis and implementation, test design and implementation, and software documentation. Testing includes a mix of manual functional tests, automated unit tests, and automated user interface tests.
Take ownership of and responsibility for software products being developed.
Represent the team in meetings and presentations as needed, including providing technical analysis & recommendations, and the development & presentation of meeting materials.
Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with other development teams, customers and users to produce a product that exceeds customer expectations.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer / Aeronautical preferred) plus 2 years relevant experience.
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance within 6-9 months of hire date.
Experience with Design and Development using C# / .NET Framework.
Knowledge and familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps.
Ability to support in-person test events in a secure facility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Active Security Clearance is preferred.
Experience with JSON, Microsoft Office extensions development, NUnit, SQLite, Visual Studio, WiX toolkit, and WPF.
Experience with Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), any SAFe certification is a plus.
Knowledge and understanding of the mission planning needs of military aviators.
