Job Description

Works under the guidance of a Account Manager and may oversee and direct the work of a crew of 1 to 10 apprentices in installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type project.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A TG Service Technician may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classifications E4, A4, J1, J2, and J3. In addition, a senior level Service Technician:

• Performs field take offs of electrical projects when needed.
• Capable of pricing work when required by customer.
• Capable of dealing directly with the customer. Relates to scheduling, field take offs and pricing.
• Schedules work and perform man loading schedules as necessary.
• Performs and oversees all types of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems.
• Is responsible for crew or project safety performance. Assures employees are properly trained or instructed in performance of duties to which are assigned. Assures compliance with all Walker safety processes and protocols. Investigates or assists in investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.

Employment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any jobsite or from working with any of Walker’s partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills. Must have comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory and electrical code and its application to installations. Must be able to work occasional overtime as required. Must be available for the on-call rotation.

Licenses: Texas Electrical Journeyman’s License, current Texas Driver’s License.

Education: High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.

Experience Must have at least (2) years experience as a Journeyman 3
