Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Plumber to join our residential remodeling team specializing in bathroom renovations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential plumbing systems, fixture installation, drain and water line modifications, and remodeling projects. This position requires excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with project managers, electricians, carpenters, and other trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform plumbing installations and modifications for residential bathroom remodeling projects.
  • Install, repair, and replace water supply lines, drain systems, vents, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Rough-in plumbing systems according to project plans and local building codes.
  • Install tubs, showers, toilets, vanities, sinks, faucets, and related fixtures.
  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues encountered during remodeling projects.
  • Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and system inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other trades to maintain project schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding project progress and plumbing-related questions.
  • Complete required documentation, work orders, and inspection reports.
  • Assist with obtaining permits and coordinating inspections as needed.
  • Operate and maintain plumbing tools, equipment, and company vehicles safely.

Requirements

  • Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of residential plumbing experience, preferably in remodeling.
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and best practices.
  • Experience with bathroom remodeling projects and fixture installations.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficient in soldering, PVC/CPVC installation, PEX systems, and drain-waste-vent systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-end residential remodeling projects.
  • Knowledge of tankless water heaters and modern plumbing technologies.
  • OSHA safety training or certification.
  • Experience using field service software (CRM).

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in occupied and unoccupied residential homes undergoing bathroom remodeling and renovation projects.
  • Frequent local travel to customer homes and job sites within the assigned service area. Must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a company vehicle.
  • Position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of plumbing materials, fixtures, tools, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to construction-related conditions, including dust, debris, noise, vibrations, and changing worksite conditions.
  • Requires working in tight or confined areas such as crawlspaces, attics, under sinks, behind walls, and utility access areas.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, reaching overhead, and standing or walking for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Must adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable plumbing codes. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  • May require occasional overtime, early morning starts, or extended work hours to meet project deadlines, inspection schedules, and customer commitments.
  • May be required to load, unload, transport materials, and work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other weather-related elements.
