Journeyman Pipefitter — Dallas VA Medical Center Allmed Staffing | Dallas, TX | $40.00/hour

Allmed Staffing is hiring 10 Journeyman Pipefitters to support a facilities maintenance contract at the North Texas VA Medical Center in Dallas. If you're a licensed pipefitter who wants steady, well-paid work on a defined assignment with a government client, we want to hear from you.

About the Role You'll work alongside VA maintenance staff installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, steam, gas, and medical facility systems — including water distribution, drainage, sterilizers, laundry and dietetic equipment, and medical gas piping. Work is assigned by a foreman, carried out independently with periodic spot checks, and you may be asked to supervise helpers.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, steam, gas, and medical gas systems in an active hospital environment
• Read and work from blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot system issues in mechanical rooms, basements, kitchens, and confined spaces
• Report daily on tasks completed, parts used, and items needing follow-up
• Follow all VA, OSHA, and NFPA-99 safety and code requirements
• Work independently while coordinating daily with the VA COR and site supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Plumber/Pipefitter license
• Minimum 4 years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience
• OSHA certification
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and work in cramped or confined spaces for extended periods
• Ability to pass a background investigation (required for VA facility access)

Schedule & Pay

• $40.00/hour
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (no weekends or federal holidays)
• On-site at the North Texas VA Medical Center, 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX
