Job Description

Clean Harbors facility in Breslau, Ontario, is currently looking for a Licensed Journeyman Millwright (433A) with 5+ years of experience to join our maintenance department.

Millwrights are responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, actively participating in preventative maintenance programs, and providing support to overall plant operations. This is primarily a day-shift position, with occasional overtime, participation in an on-call rotation, and the requirement to work extended hours during bi-annual shutdowns.

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors and other production machinery.
  • Work independently as a self-starter, while also collaborating with the rest of the maintenance team.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to document maintenance tasks and track work orders.
  • Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Support long shifts and additional work hours during plant shutdowns (twice per year).
  • Valid 433A Millwright License (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with CMMS software.
  • Repair, service and maintain equipment - Primarily pumps.
  • Fit Bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, align couplings and belts to precise tolerances
  • Welding/fabrication experience.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Committed to health & safety practices and standards.
  • Must be physically fit, capable of lifting up to 35 lbs, and prepared to work in extreme weather conditions, including both hot and cold environments.

Additional Assets:

  • Welding/fabrication experience.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and electrical troubleshooting.
