They expertly break down large cuts into retail-ready portions like steaks, roasts, and chops, while ensuring precise trimming and deboning according to customer specifications. They operate specialized equipment including slicers, grinders, saws, and scales, and are responsible for packaging, labeling, and displaying meat products. Journeyman Meat Cutters also manage inventory, inspect deliveries for quality, and maintain strict compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. In addition to their technical expertise, they assist customers with special orders and offer product recommendations, making them a vital part of the customer service experience.

Requirements

• Knife proficiency: Skilled in using various knives and cutting tools with precision.
• Meat knowledge: Understanding of animal anatomy and different meat cuts.
