033561 Journeyman Electrician - Lead (Open)

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Leads department safety activities, sets the standards and responsibilities for a safe work culture and adherence to applicable codes, all laws and equipment function.

    2. Supervises and or directs repair of all machinery and equipment in the event of unscheduled failure as required

    3. Formulates electrical maintenance outage plan and ensures efficient execution

    4. Ensure proper planning and execution of major E&I activities

    5. Communicate with Operation Managers and Engineering to assure continuity of efforts

    6. Manages the mill site E&I systems

    7. Provide root cause analysis of failed E&I systems

    8. Provides Clear Expectations for Housekeeping and Department Performance to all E&I personnel.

    9. Develop individual training plans for E&I personnel facilitate development

    10. Ensures E&I critical spares are documented and onsite

    12. Provides strong daily coordination and communication on the status of on-going maintenance activities and priorities

    13. Supervises and or directs contractors engaged to perform Electrical work such as new equipment installation, modifications, preventive maintenance and routine maintenance

    14. Assures a mill work environment that respects the rights of employees. Assures that all employment and personnel activity is conducted in a non-discriminatory manner in keeping with legal requirements and policies.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum seven years manufacturing maintenance supervisory experience.
  • E01 electrical license or equivalent experience
  • Computerized Maintenance systems
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution PLC, DCS and electrical control systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems
  • PC skills including strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and computerized maintenance systems
  • Ability to lead others into safe work practices
  • Ability to help develop subordinate skill levels
  • Demonstrated creative problem solver
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and pressure demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Proactive and skilled at recognizing potential areas for improvement
  • Minimum of high school diploma

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $50.79 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
