Journeyman Electrician Overview: Strata Innovative Solutions is seeking a dedicated Journeyman Electrician to play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of our valued customers. This position involves electrical construction and maintenance, conducting thorough inspections and preventive maintenance, ensuring the reliability and performance of electrical infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess an aptitude for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, leveraging various hand tools and advanced testing equipment to maintain operational excellence.

Essential Duties include the following:

• Must comply with all company safety policies at all times
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Using hand and power tools, assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and test lamps
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair and to ensure compliance with local codes.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Follow blueprints to determine wiring and equipment's location and ensure building and safety codes conformance.
• Attend in-house training
• Availability to work overtime and irregular business hours as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Current Journeyman or Master Electrician
• Maintain a current Texas Journeyman's license
• 4+ years of previous experience
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment effectively
• Ability to develop communication, planning, and training

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent use of hand tools, electronic equipment, and machinery is required. Precision and steadiness are essential for handling small components and performing delicate adjustments.
• Must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling periods.
• Close visual attention is necessary for reading schematics and detailed work on computer screens. Good overall vision, with or without correction, is vital, including accurately distinguishing colors for wiring and safety signals.
• Adequate hearing is necessary for safety reasons, particularly in environments with machinery and equipment where hearing auditory alarms and signals is crucial.
• Technicians may need to access various locations within a facility, including climbing ladders, navigating tight spaces, and working at heights or in confined areas.
• Willingness to work in diverse conditions is necessary, as technicians may be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, hard hats, and, in some cases, respirators.
• Able to drive to customer job site

• Outdoor project exposed to varying and extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow.
