Journeyman Electrician

Direct Hire Opportunity

Location: Greater Erie, PA

Compensation: $30–$40/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Hours: 40+ hours per week

Travel: Generally within 50 miles of Erie, PA

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with an established electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout the Greater Erie area. The company provides a wide range of electrical installation, repair, maintenance, and upgrade services.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to join the team in the Greater Erie area. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on electrical experience and be comfortable performing installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and electrical system upgrades.

This is a field-based position requiring the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Run and install electrical conduit
• Pull and terminate electrical wire
• Install electrical panels and equipment
• Install and replace circuit breakers
• Install outlets, switches, fixtures, and other electrical components
• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades
• Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify electrical issues
• Ensure electrical work is completed safely and according to applicable electrical codes
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Work effectively with customers, coworkers, and other trades
• Travel to jobsites generally within a 50-mile radius of Erie
• Perform additional electrical duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Journeyman-level electrical experience
• Strong hands-on experience running conduit and pulling wire
• Experience installing electrical panels and circuit breakers
• Experience installing outlets, switches, and other electrical components
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

• Erie Journeyman's License preferred
• Experience working in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments
• Experience with electrical service work, renovations, and new installations

Compensation & Schedule

• $30–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Full-time, direct hire opportunity
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 40+ hours per week
• Local work with travel generally within 50 miles of Erie
• Long-term opportunity with an established electrical contractor
