POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Skilled tasks: Install, repair, and maintain systems and equipment specific to trade (e.g., electrical systems)
Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and use expertise to find efficient solutions.
Reading and interpreting: Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand project requirements.
Safety: Ensure all work is performed according to safety protocols, codes, and industry standards.
Independence and collaboration: Work autonomously on tasks while also collaborating with team members to achieve project goals.
Guidance: Often responsible for providing technical guidance to apprentices or less experienced technicians.
QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: Requires several years of experience after completing a formal apprenticeship program.
Certification: A journeyman license or certification is a requirement, depending on the specific trade and location.
Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of the principles and practices of specific trade is essential. Ability to calculate/determine power, amperage & voltage of new equipment and current equipment.
Physical requirements: The physical demands vary but can include the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and work in various environmental conditions.
