Located out of our Peoria, IL facility, the Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, controls, and other electrical components. You will replace, install, and repair electrical equipment and devices as required.

Responsibilities:

• Interprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring
• Runs tests on generators and other backup systems
• Leads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards
• Checks for and deploy upgrades of electrical components
• Documents problems and reports
• Facilitates order of needed electrical components
• Journeyman Electrician Job Requirements
• Relevant hands-on experience preferred
• Completed a 4-year apprenticeship program
• Electrician license or certification
• In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, wiring schematics
• Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standards
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment

This job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year. Vehicles are used as the base of operations. Also work on solar projects.
