ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Resolute Bay, NU. The Red Seal Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of electrical systems.

Working on a rotation of 4 weeks on/4 weeks off, 7 days a week, with all travel paid.

Responsibilities:

• Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
• Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment
• Provide input to the Maintenance Coordinator for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
• Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyman Certified Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read drawings and schematics.
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
• Must be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Experience working in a remote environment is considered an asset.
• Strong commitment to follow workplace safety requirements and procedures.
