The Mosby story started in 1947 when Sam Mosby opened his construction business. A World War II veteran and a man of integrity, Sam's passion for excellence was passed down to his son, Scott who began working for his father during his school years. Scott returned to Mosby Construction after college with the goal of improving teamwork between construction management and remodeling design. Scott purchased the Mosby construction business in 1983 and continues to evolve the work quality and customer service by combining professional design talent with experienced construction knowledge. This combined vision of Sam and Scott continues to drive the thriving business today.
Throughout the years, Mosby company meetings went from being held at a dining room table to their current office location in Kirkwood, Missouri. The name of the company was changed in 1994 to Mosby Building Arts, Ltd. and the organization is consistently honored through numerous awards for excellence, innovation, and customer service. Mosby Building Arts, Ltd. was recently named a national "Top 10 Remodeling Firm" by Remodeling magazine. Scott continues to share his experience and knowledge as the widely recognized Home Improvement Answer Man for KMOX (1120 AM) radio, helping to answer dozens of homeowner questions on the air every Saturday morning from 11am to 2pm.
