The carpenter is responsible for constructing and maintaining buildings.
Required knowledge includes: construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety.
The carpenter must be proficient at the following tasks: hanging doors, drilling and setting door hardware, setting windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, formwork, and reading blueprints. The carpenter must also possess the mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do materials estimates.
Journeyperson Carpenter ticket or currently registered apprentice
Experience with a large general contractor
DL/V preferred
Willingness to travel and work out of town if needed
Solid knowledge of tools, materials, safety, and construction best practices
