About this role

Carrier Commercial Service is actively recruiting for an HVAC Journeyperson to join the team in Vancouver, BC.

The successful candidate needs to have HVAC system experience with proven problem-solving capabilities and support the light and heavy applied HVAC service market segments in Commercial and Industrial buildings. We are looking for a team player with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, customer commitments and have excellent time management, and planning/organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive professional customer relations
• Provide proactive maintenance and repair services for Chillers, other HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment
• Support Centrifugal, Scroll equipment, multiple technologies, controls, and VSD systems
• Maintain Carrier Factory (OEM) Field Mechanical Services for Startup and Warranty activities
• Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems; develop and implement solutions to prevent future occurrence
• Identify, estimate, quote repair and upgrade solutions to extend equipment life and save energy
• Comply to and re-enforce Environment, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
• Certified Journeyperson HVAC Technician
• Licensed refrigeration (ODP) mechanic
• 5 plus years of experience with HVAC systems and maintenance
• Valid driver’s license
