
Journey Welder/Truck Equipment Installer
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is looking for a sharp, skilled, and motivated Journey Welder / Truck Equipment Installer. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of welding techniques and the ability to fabricate custom parts for heavy machinery.
About the Role
As a Journeymen Welder & Truck Equipment installer, you will be a vital part of keeping our fleet and machinery moving. In this role, you will perform routine maintenance and major repairs on a wide variety of UDOT vehicles, including gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic equipment. You’ll troubleshoot and fix everyday wear and tear, from loose pins and worn bushings to broken welds. Beyond repairs, you will play a key role in custom fabrication and equipment installation. You’ll layout, cut, fit, and weld custom components to modify trucks for snow removal applications and other specialized equipment, helping to ensure our fleet is ready and to serve the people of Utah.
