About the Role:
Journal Marketing Manager will partner with the product organization, external editorial customers, and the larger marketing organization. This role willbe responsible forcreating compelling go-to-market strategies for a portfolio of journals in Health Science and Social Science, partnered with institutions and universities in China. This person will develop customer-focused, data-driven plans that drive our relationship with researchers and authors, to deliver KPIs such as article submissions, revenue, readership growth, and society satisfaction.
As an experienced marketing professional, the Journal Marketing Manager will use their experience managing external relationships with the ability to influence and manage expectations. The rolecomprisesrelationship management and managing the marketing services that we provide to our learned partners.
This person willhave an understanding ofwhat makes a great marketing campaign–from proposition and messaging,to choice of channels, and willdemonstratethis throughout their portfolio. We are looking for a results-oriented person who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop and implement brand awareness and lead generation strategies toestablish, maintain, or improve the position of the journal portfolio.
Develop effective product positioning, messaging, and market entry strategies and deliver effective campaign and program briefings.
Communicate effectively with the editorial product teams about marketing results and best practices.
Maintain and improve internal and external customer relationships.
Review market intelligence, marketresearchand competitorbehaviorto better understand customer needs andidentifyareas where Wiley can deliver article growth and market share gains.
Collaborate with colleagues across the marketing organization to deliver marketing programs that deliver on journal,subjectand society goals.
Required Qualifications:
Experience of managing relationships with an understanding of complex workflows.
Previousmarketing experiencerequired
Experience with data analytics and insight interpretation.
Understanding of systems and processes which support the Marketing functions.
Experience working within large organizations.

It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
