Job Description

The Role
Step into the role of Visual Merchandiser here at Joules Head Office within our friendly and creative Visual Merchandising Team. This is a pivotal role for a visual storyteller who can bridge the gap between creative flair and commercial strategy.

You will lead the end-to-end journey of our wholesale and trade show presence, ensuring every display captures the essence of Joules. Beyond the showroom, you will play a key part in our partnership with Next and our concession stores, developing bespoke retail strategies that drive sales. It is a busy, varied role that celebrates "the small stuff" while managing large-scale projects, perfect for someone who loves to mix design with data-driven merchandising insights.

Working Pattern: This is a field-based role with a split focus between our retail locations and our purpose-built Head Office, ‘The Barn’, in Market Harborough. You will spend a significant portion of your time out in the field. Due to the nature of trade shows, store launches, and seasonal refreshes, a high degree of flexibility is required. This role includes regular travel across the UK, which will involve overnight stays.

Our Location
Market Harborough in Leicestershire, is where Joules began in 1989. This market town is home to the brand’s Head Office and is full of independent shops, bars and restaurants. It also benefits from good transport links to London, making it easily accessible for visitors and commuters alike.

What You’ll Do
Wholesale & Trade Shows: Lead the end-to-end planning, layout design (including option counts), and physical execution of showrooms and trade shows. You’ll select commercially viable products, train sales managers on VM standards, and provide the wholesale team with inspirational guide setups.

Next & Concessions: Partner with the Senior VM to launch and optimize Next concession spaces. You’ll conduct pre-launch site visits, develop innovative brand presence ideas, and maintain constant communication regarding floor plans and stock levels to drive performance.

Bespoke Grading & Strategy: Create tailored grading packs and capsule builds for specific locations (e.g., coastal vs. market towns). You’ll work closely with the Merchandising team to manage stock depth and ensure bespoke builds align with local customer needs.

Brand Refreshes & Operations: Manage the seasonal refresh of in-store branding (windows, till points, fitting rooms) and act as the main point of contact for print suppliers. You'll also work ahead of the season with the Footwear team to align on styling and store allocations.

Total Brand Support: Support Head Office retail previews, event setups, and new store openings, while sourcing essential equipment and mannequins to keep our brand looking its best.

We aren’t just growing; we’re evolving at pace. We are currently on an exciting trajectory and you won’t just be part of the journey, you’ll be part of driving our evolution during our most exciting chapter yet.
