Make your mark while you grow your career! Are you looking to further develop your leadership skills? The Joint Venture Accounting Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance to team members on the timely resolution of operated billing disputes and the accurate review of non-operated billings. You will provide leadership and technical expertise to a diverse team of Operations Accountants. Strong knowledge of Conventional Oil and Gas Operations, organizational and communication skills and work ethic are critical to success in this role. This role is highly focused on facilitating communication and maintaining effective working relationships with joint venture partners and internal departments.

  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts (Monday – Friday)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise to team members on how to analyze and record non-operated joint interest billings (JIB), ensuring accuracy and completeness of revenue, royalties, capital, and operating costs within the terms of the governing agreements
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with joint venture partners to facilitate the timely collection of operated and non-operated receivables
  • Set performance targets for individual team members and ensure targets and deadlines are met
  • Mentor team members to assist in their professional development
  • Review internal reporting and effectively communicate partner account balances and action plans to senior leadership and internal departments
  • Facilitate communication with other internal departments to escalate and remedy delinquent accounts
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects for the department

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 7+ years of related accounting experience
  • Accounting designation
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, EnterpriseOne and Energylink
