Threat Tec is seeking experienced Joint Training Requirements Specialists (JTRS) to provide joint training support to Joint Force Headquarters-State (JFHQ-State) organizations.

The JTRS will conduct support visits and provide joint training services designed to improve and enhance organizational training readiness. Support will include preparing and conducting workshops, developing training, assisting organizations with Joint Training System (JTS) integration, assessing training effectiveness, and preparing reports and briefings documenting findings and recommendations.

This is a hybrid position that is primarily remote, with travel requirements of up to 20% to support JFHQ-State, territory, National Guard Bureau (NGB), exercise, and training requirements.

Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct JFHQ-State support visits and provide professional joint training services.

    • Prepare and facilitate workshops designed to improve joint training readiness and address identified focus areas.

    • Develop and deliver training supporting effective implementation and integration of the Joint Training System (JTS)

    • Support all phases of the JTS process, including:

    • Training requirements identification

    • Training planning

    • Training execution

    • Training assessment

      • Assist JFHQ-State organizations with integrating JTS processes into organizational training, exercises, and planning.

      • Conduct JTS integration activities supporting training, assessment, and execution requirements.

      • Analyze training activities and organizational readiness to identify findings, trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

      • Prepare professional reports, briefings, assessments, and recommendations documenting support visit and training findings.

      • Brief leadership and other stakeholders on findings, observations, and recommended actions.

      • When requested by the JFHQ-State, territory, or NGB, serve as an Observer, Controller, Trainer (OC/T) during exercises and training events.

      • Support approximately 15 OC/T exercise or training events annually, based on mission requirements.

      • Maintain current knowledge of applicable joint training doctrine, policy, processes, and guidance.

      • Apply the most current CJCSI 3500-series guidance to assist JFHQ-State organizations with integrating the JTS into their training, exercise, and planning processes.

      • Coordinate effectively with military personnel, government stakeholders, exercise planners, trainers, and other members of the joint training community.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must:

  • Demonstrate a high level of competence and experience with all phases of the Joint Training System (JTS), including requirements, planning, execution, and assessment.

  • Possess demonstrated knowledge of successful JTS integration within joint military organizations.

  • Be familiar with and able to apply the most current CJCSI 3500-series guidance

  • Possess experience supporting military training, exercises, readiness assessments, or joint training programs.

  • Be capable of developing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, reports, assessments, and professional briefings.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Be comfortable briefing military and government leadership.

  • Be able to work independently in a primarily remote environment while collaborating effectively with geographically dispersed teams and customers.

  • Be willing and able to travel up to 20% in support of mission requirements.

  • Possess a valid U.S. or U.S. territory driver's license.

  • Possess and maintain a valid and active U.S. Government SECRET security clearance

Work Environment & Travel

This position is primarily remote, allowing the employee to perform routine planning, coordination, analysis, reporting, and administrative responsibilities from a remote work location.

Travel of up to 20% is required to support JFHQ-State organizations, territories, NGB requirements, workshops, exercises, training events, and other mission requirements throughout the United States and U.S. territories.
